Suspected Islamic insurgents attacked a police station in northern Nigeria overnight Saturday, leaving one of the militants dead.Police say alleged members of the Boko Haram sect attempted to raid the station in a town in Yobe state, leading to a gunbattle.One of the officers says the militants threw a bomb into the station but that it failed to explode.Police in the northern city of Maidugurai also blame Boko Haram for recent attacks that have killed 21 people, including 13 police officers.The name Boko Haram means “Western education is a sin” in the Hausa language.
