She spends her days rubbing shoulders with some of Essex’s finest, rather than A-list actors. So it’s no surprise that when Frankie Essex attended the premiere of Olympus Has Fallen in London on Wednesday evening she did what she could to catch leading man Gerard Butler’s eye.
However if she did turn heads it would have been for all the wrong reasons as she had a major fashion fail in her garish plunging dress. The TOWIE star’s enhanced breasts took centre stage poking out of the dress which was cut almost as low as her navel. Her faux pas was further accentuated by the fact the material couldn’t go unnoticed – it was a mixture of bold and bright patterns and colours. While it pulled tight around her stomach area, it was let down once again with strange bat wing sleeves.
Her look was completed with her long blonde extensions falling down around her shoulders while she wore her usual severe amount of make-up. She certainly wasn’t the only one who seemed to be attention seeking though – Katie Price’s former protégé Amy Willerton opted for a revealing red dress. The pretty brunette looked older than her years with lashings of make-up and her skin looked perhaps a little too tanned. Like Frankie, she had her extremely long hair falling down her back and she too managed to raise eyebrows with her skin tight gown.
It wasn’t just those two who were hell bent on catching Butler’s eye, former Made In Chelsea Star Gabriella Ellis did her best too as she opted for a cut out black gown which was low-cut. She completed her look with very bright lipstick and a fierce pair of heels featuring studs.
Meanwhile the main man Gerard looked delighted to be back on British soil to showcase his film. The 43-year-old showed off his usual handsome good looks and looked particularly slim line in a grey suit, with white shirt and thin grey tie. Other guests included Game Of Thrones’ Sophie Turner, Charlotte Jackson, Jessica Jane Clement, X Factor’s Kye Sones, comedy group The Midnight Beast and Bo Bruce.
Making up the Essex contingent was former TOWIE star Lydia Bright, Ricky Rayment, Jessica Wright, Chris Drake and newcomers Dan Osbourne and James Locke. Olympus Has Fallen stars Gerard as disgraced Secret Service agent Mike Banning, who finds himself trapped inside the White House in the wake of a terrorist attack. Using his inside knowledge, Banning works with national security to rescue the President from his kidnappers.
Speaking about his film at BFI Imax in London, Butler joked that he didn’t think the film would have been so exciting if it were set in London, he said: ‘To me you watch this universally, you don’t have to be American. It’s an attack on the free world. It could just as easily be Downing Street, it could be anywhere.’
He chuckled: ‘But it would be quite interesting to see… I don’t know how many Secret Service they have… There’s like 80 Secret Service in the White House. I can just imagine Downing Street with two coppers running out with their batons… I shouldn’t say that, I’m sure it’s way more protected than that. Maybe that’ll be our next movie – Downing Street Has Fallen!’ Olympus Has Fallen was directed by Training Day’s Antoine Fuqua and the ensemble cast also includes Morgan Freeman, Angela Bassett, Melissa Leo and Dylan McDermott. – Dailymail
