ISLAMABAD, Sept 22 (APP): Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has reiterated that the government would continue to make efforts for the early repatriation of Dr. Afia Siddiqi.The Prime Minister was talking to Dr. Fauzia Siddiqi, the sister of Dr. Afia Siddiqi who met him in his Chamber at Parliament House here Wednesday evening.
The unanimous resolution adopted by the National Assembly, he added, amply reflects the sentiments of the people.The Prime Minister said that the government had taken up the issue at all the appropriate forums including the legal support extended through Pakistan Embassy in Washington.Dr. Fauzia Siddiqi appreciated the efforts of the government and thanked all the members of the National Assembly for the passage of resolution – APP
