The Karachi Port handled 114,566 tonnes of cargo including 80,116 tonnes of import, 34,450 tonnes of export cargo and 2,415 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ended at 0700 hours on Wednesday. The total import cargo of 80,116 tonnes comprised 29,310 of tonnes of dry cargo including 12,956 tonnes of containerised cargo; 16,354 tonnes of bulk cargo and 50,806 tonnes of oil or liquid cargo.The total export cargo of 34,450 tonnes, comprised of 17,654 tonnes of dry cargo including 12,016 tonnes of containerised cargo; 189 tonnes of bulk cargo; 5,449 tonnes of cement and 16,796 tonnes of oil or liquid cargo. A total number of six vessels namely viz Rukia, Hyundai Long Beach, Wan Hai 602, Marcampania, Union Craft and President Truman carrying bulk cargo, containers, general cargo and containers respectively were sailed out to the sea during the reported period.There are four vessels namely viz President Truman, Stafna Progress, Silver Zone and Bux Melody are currently at the berths to load/offload containers, tankers and containers during business hours on the same day. A total number of two vessels namely viz Silver Zone and Bux Melody are expected to sail on Wednesday during business activities hours at the port. While two more vessels namely viz Millennium Explorer and Stafna Progress are expected to sail on Thursday.A total number of four vessels namely viz Han Jin Gdynia, CAP George, Hansa Augsburg and Sammi Super Star carrying containers and coal are due to arrive on Wednesday. While five more vessels namely viz Freight Margie, Bow Lion, Samin 1, Al Kawther and Bolan are expected to arrive to load/offload mogas, soya bean oil, containers, cement and general cargo respectively at the same Port on Thursday during the business hours.
PORT QASIM
Port Qasim maintained port’s activities of cargo volume of 71,749 tonnes including 51,209 tonnes of import; 20,540 tonnes of export cargo and total 2,660 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) were handled during the last 24 hours of business activities on Wednesday.The total import cargo volume comprised of 51,209 tonnes including 22,000 tonnes of diesel oil; 6,998 tonnes of palm oil; 5,310 tonnes of sugar and 16,455 tonnes of containerised cargo were handled during the activities. The total export cargo volume comprised of 20,540 tonnes including 1,784 tonnes of cement and 18,756 tonnes of containerised cargo, were handled during the reported business period on Wednesday.There are four vessels namely viz C V Bosan, C V Asir, C V Nedlloyd Darke and M T Ginga Cougar sailed out to the sea during the last 24 hours of business periods. While another vessel namely viz C V ACX Rafflesia is expected to sail on the same day afternoon.
A total number of six vessels namely viz C V Nedlloyd Darke, C V Asir, M V Indian Fortune, M V Orient-III, M T Ginga Cougar and M T Al-Salam-II are currently occupying the berths to load/offload containers, cement, sugar, palm oil and diesel oil respectively during the last 24 hours of business activities at the port on Wednesday.There are eight vessels namely viz C V Saudi Hofuf, C V CMA CGM Azure, C V ACX Rafflesia, C V Cap York, M V Mallak, M T Nogogini, M T Asia Star and M T Samha Leader carrying containers, sugar, cement and palm oil are currently at the outer anchorage to sail or arrive at the port.
A total number of six vessels namely viz C V Saudi Hufuf, C V ACX Rafflesia, C V CMA CGM Azure, M V Mallak, M V Pala and M T Samho Leader scheduled to load/offload containers, cement, project cargo and palm oil are expected to take berths at QICT, MW-1, MW-4 and Liquid Container Terminal respectively on Wednesday during the business activity hours. Another vessel namely M T AL-Khalidia carrying furnace oil is expected to arrive at Port Qasim on the same day. While there are two more vessels namely viz C V CMA CGM Puget and C V RHL Fiduca are expected to arrive at the Port during the business hours on Thursday – Brecorder
