PPP’s Overseas Committee calls on the President

ISLAMABAD: Co- Chairman Pakistan People’s Party,(PPP)President Asif Ali  Zardari on Thursday emphasized the need for regular periodic interaction with the overseas units of the party and a review of their working.He said this during his meeting with the overseas committee of the PPP here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday night.The meeting presided over by Co Chairman President Asif Ali Zardari was attended by Senator Jahangir Badar, Chaudhry Abdul Majeed, Chaudhry Abdul Yaseen, Khawaja Shafiq, Ms Fouzia Habib, Ms Rukhsana Bangash and Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar.Briefing media on the meeting, Spokesperson to the President Farhatullah Babar said that the President also directed that the overseas units be kept informed about important developments and party positions on policy issues.The President said that the PPP was the only political party which had chapters in all continents and it was imperative that the units were further strengthened.He also directed that the PPP’s overseas committee should meet regularly and brief him on the progress and issues of different overseas chapters – APP
