KARACHI: Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ibad Khan inaugurated the five-year BA and LLB (Honours) degrees programme in the Sindh Muslim Law College at a ceremony held at the Governor’s House, here on Tuesday.Speaking on the occasion, the governor said that education is the key to the prosperity and development of any society or state.Boosting education of law is the need of the hour, therefore, the steps are being taken to bring the SM Law College into the club of the most prominent institutes of the world, he said.Sindh Law Minister Mohammad Ayaz Soomro, Principal SM Law College Khursheed Ahmed Hashmi and Vice Chancellor University of Karachi Prof Pirzada Qasim Raza Siddiqui also spoke on the occasion. It is pertinent to mention here that under these programmes, admissions will be provided to students having Intermediate degree on the basis of merit.
