Sindh Bank launches Benazir ‘Zarai’ Card

NAUDERO: President Asif Ali Zardari here on Monday performed the launching of the Benazir “Zarai” Card (agri card) scheme.The card has been introduced by the newly established Sindh Bank.On the occasion, President Asif Zardari also distributed 10 cards  among the growers.He directed the management of the Bank that on the pattern of such card, the Sindh Bank should also introduce the Benazir Students Card to help the youngsters acquiring education to meet the expenses for fee as well as purchase of the required books etc.In his briefing on the occasion, Chief Executive Officer of the Sindh Bank, Bilal Shaikh, said that the Benazir Zarai Card will help the growers in acquiring the seeds and fertilisers  and this would help towards the enhancement of the agricultural produce.Sindh Chief Minister, Syed Qaim Ali Shah, Federal Information Minister, Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan, Federal Information Secretary, Taimur Azmat Osman, and other provincial ministers were also present on the occasion. – APP
