LONDON: Francis Campbell has been appointed as the new UK Deputy High Commissioner for Pakistan to be based in Karachi.Prior to his new diplomatic assignment, Mr.Campell was the British Ambassador to Vatican. While in Karachi, he will also act as the Director, UK Trade and Investment and will seek opportunities to further enhance the trade and commercial ties between the two countries.British Prime Minister David Cameron in his day long visit to Islamabad this week, held discussion with the Pakistani leadership on doubling the the bilateral trade between the two countries to 2.5 billion pounds sterling by 2015.Mr.Campbell is expected to take up his new posting shortly. – APP
