OKARA: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Sunday said that the PPP led coalition government will resolve all public issues by following the vision of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Shaheed and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed.He was addressing a public gathering here after inaugurating Cadet College Okara on Sunday. Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs Mian Manzoor Ahmed Wattoo, MNA Sardar Aseff Ahmed Ali, Former State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Syed Samsam Ali Bukhari, MNA Khurram Jahangir Wattoo, MNA Ghulam Mujtaba Kharal, MNA Sajjadul Hassan, MPA Muhammed Ashraf Sohna, Principal of the Cadet College Prof Rao Zafar Iqbal and other notables of the area were present on the occasion.The Prime Minister said that education and provision of the rights to masses were the basics of PPP manifesto. He added that all possible steps would be taken to give quality education to the citizens.He said that all the genuine problems pointed out by the MNAs and MPAs of the area would be resolved soon on priority to provide relief to the people and alleviate poverty.Yusuf Raza Gilani announced to start work on dualization of the Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Avenue passing through Okara.
Recalling the steps taken for the farmers community, he said that the PPP government gave a number of facilities to them to improve their life. He directed the Ministry of Food and Agriculture to adopt sufficient measures for purchasing the wheat crop from the farmers across the country so that their problems in this regard could be redressed.Referring to the issue of Military Farms and tenants, Gilani announced to form a committee comprising the officials of Defence Ministry and other stakeholders which would work for giving proprietary rights of land to the tenants.He also said that ministries of finance and industries would initiate working to further facilitate the industrialists at Okara Industrial Zone.Prime Minister Gilani said that to spend the grants on the masses was not a favour by the government, but it was the due right of common people that their tax money was spent in their area. He added that government would leave no stone unturned to provide due rights and relief to the people of Pakistan.APP
