WANA: The political administration in collaboration with the members of the Amn Committee assured to resolve a land dispute between the tribes of Sulemankhel and Wazir in South Waziristan.
A tribal jirga to this effect was held at the office of the Political Agent South Waziristan, Muhammad Javed Marwat on Wednesday. A 22-member jirga, comprising elders of the various tribes, was formed to resolve the land ownership dispute between the Sulemankhel and Wazir tribes.
On the directives of the Political Agent, the members of the Amn Committee visited Zalwanai area to hold talks with the elders of the both sides. The members convinced the elders of rival tribes to submit the surety amount with the political administration and vacate their trenches.
The elders of Dinarkhel clan of Sulemankhel tribe and Disikhel clan of Wazir tribe deposited the cash with the political administration and authorised the jirga to settle the land ownership dispute between the two parties. – Thenews
