KARACHI: Three people including two women were shot dead near the Gizri flyover early on Tuesday.
Talking to The Express Tribune, Clifton Superintendent of Police (SP) Tariq Dharejo said that a black Toyota with the victims on board was parked outside a house when two men riding on motorcycles fired on the car. The victims had returned after attending a wedding ceremony in the city.Eyewitnesses said that the assailants had circled the area once or twice before attacking their target. The assailants fled after the attack.
The victims included the male driver and two women. The dead bodies have been shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Complex (JMPC).Police sources claimed that the women were wife and daughter of Balochistan MPA, Mir Mohammad Bakhtiar Khan Domki. He belongs to Sibi.Police believe that the incident could be a case of target killing based on personal enmity. They are investigating the incident.
Domki, talking to Express News said that they do not expect justice, that all the Sindh Government could do was to form a few committees, judicial committees and just stow it in some basement. “They used to kill the men, now they have started killing the women as well,” he said adding, “we have been sacrificing for our country, and will continue to do so.” – Thetribune
