LAHORE: Justice Umar Ata Bandial of the Lahore High Court on Tuesday ordered the convener of the Punjab Chief Minister’s Youth Development Programme to investigate allegations regarding the unjust distribution of laptops at the Government College University (GCU).
The judge while disposing of a petition by MPhil student Asghar Javed directed the petitioner to approach the convener after seven days to resolve his grievance. The counsel for the petitioner, Rana Ali Imran, alleged that laptops were being distributed on political grounds and personal liking. He submitted that the petitioner had cleared two semesters and secured 81.27 percent marks with a 3.25 GPA, but he was denied a laptop. staff report
