KARACHI: Pakistan Rangers Sindh on Thursday claimed to have arrested six suspects and recovered explosive material and weapons from their possession.
According to a release, they conducted a targeted operation in Pipri, Bin Qasim, within the limits of Steel Town police station and detained six suspects. They also recovered four Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), two kalashnikovs, four rifles, two repeaters, explosive detonators and ball bearings from their possession. Sources said all suspects belonged to a banned outfit.
When contacted, a Rangers spokesman denied giving any statement about the accused. Meanwhile, during the last 48 hours, Rangers conducted targeted raids and snap checking in different areas of the city, arresting 18 suspects and recovering 12 weapons of various calibers. – Dailytimes
