KARACHI: Youm-e- Shahadat of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) was observed here on Friday with religious sanctity.
In this connection, Tehrik Awam Ahle-e-Sunat and Sunni Ithad organized a public meeting at Gulshan-e-Zahoor.Addressing the meeting, the speakers including Haji Hanif Tayyab highlighted the role of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) in introducing good governance and efforts for spreading Islam in many parts of the world.
Ahl-e-Sunnat- wal- Jamat also organized a rally from Numaish Chowrangi to Tebat Centre to mark the day.Ulema and khatibs in their Jumma sermons also highlighted the services of Hazrat Umar Farooq (RA) for Islam. They emphasized on maintaining religious harmony. – Brecorder
