Police to introduce ‘corporate policing’

KARACHI: A meeting held on Monday with IGP Sindh Shahid Nadeem Baloch in chair reviewed coordination and linkages of CCTV cameras installed by banks and other financial institutions with Sindh Police Central Command Centre for improving, investigating, monitoring and controlling crimes and other security matters.

The meeting reviewed at length the launch of a pilot project considering the exit/entrance, and parking areas of each bank and financial organizations situated on II Chundrigar Road. IGP Sindh nominated DIGP Administration Karachi Bashir Memon as the focal person to work out the modalities for implementation of the pilot project, including proposals /suggestions of Karachi Administration and all stakeholders. – DailyTimes
