PPP leaders Raza Rabbani and Qayyum Soomro met Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI-F) leader Abdul Ghaffoor Haidri, and offered the JUI-F the position of Senate deputy chairman . Later in the day, PPP co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari will preside over a meeting of opposition parties in which the positions of Senate chairman and Senate deputy chairman will be finalised.
