Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chairman of Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee (CJCSC), General Zubair Mahmood Hayat, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS) and Chief of Air Staff (CAS) have congratulated the scientists and all stake holders. The missile is capable of delivering multiple warheads using Multiple Independent Re-entry Vehicle (MIRV) technology.

The test flight was aimed at validating various design and technical parameters of the weapon system, according to the notification issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). Ababeel is capable of engaging multiple targets with high precision while defeating enemy’s radars. Ababeel Weapon System aims at survivability of Pakistan’s ballistic missiles in the growing Ballistic Missile Defence (BMD) environment.
