The Sindh government is likely to ban pillion riding and suspend mobile phone service across the city during 9-10th Muharram for security reasons.

This was discussed in a meeting chaired by Inspector General (IG) Ghulam Hyder Jamali here on Wednesday.

The meeting also discussed other methods to ensure foolproof security during Muharram. According to sources, security will be beefed up in areas where religious processions take place and cameras will also be installed in different areas and roads. – SAMAA
