ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has nominated Kiran Ilyas Gouri to participate in Asian Football Confederation (AFC) ‘B’ Coaching Certificate course. She is the first women coach of Pakistan who is participating in AFC ‘B’ Coaching Course slated from July 4 to 23 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.In a statement issued here on Tuesday President PFF, Faisal Saleh Hayat said that four key elements, coaching, competitions, talent hunt and selection on merit were essential in the overall development of football. “Modern coaches always take these aspects of the game into consideration to help develop football on solid lines,” he said.“The standard of football in our country is improving with each passing day and both, FIFA and Asian Football Confederation appreciated the game’s advancement in Pakistan. The AFC in recognition of PFF’s fine display included us in Vision Asia through which we will get increased financial and technical support”, he maintained.As many as 15 women Football coaches have already passed AFC ‘C’ Coaching Certificate. The detail is as follow: Nadia Naqvi, Uzma Zaidi, Hurria Hussein, Bushra Shabbir, Rifat Shabbir, Sumera Aftab, Ishrat Fatima, Qurat Ul Ain, Fehmida Habib, Faiza Mehmood Mirza, Rabia, Syeda Isra Batool Kazmi, Asma Usman, Farishtay,Ali Sharifi, Hina Rafiq and Shagufta Akhter.
The AFC ‘B’ Coaching Certificate is for those coaches who have already the ‘C’ Certificate. The course is designed to educate coaches in the advanced techniques and skills of the game, and to help them develop a better understanding of individual or groups of players, tactics and the mental requirements of the game. – APP
