The August Medal Golf Tournament will be contested today(Saturday)at the Royal Palm Golf and Country Club golf course with tee off scheduled for 1pm.
A shot gun boom will herald the start of a competition which is considered to be testing time and serious business for a large number of upcoming amateur golfers, as they strive to get into the spotlight by avoiding missed putts and flently demonstrating the art of a good golf swing.Participants list in this championship has crossed the 60 mark and in the run for glory and honors are a large number of single handicappers,about thirty middle digit handicappers and over twenty have a handicap in the range of 16 to 18.

Single handicappers who are likely to enjoy a dominating presence in this competition are Mohsen Zafar,Sardar Murad,and Faisal Ali Malik. Double digit handicappers with the ability to glide through the challenge and give shivers to the single digit handicappers are Moeen Salahuddin,Faisal Iqbal,Haroon Arshed,Naseer Akhter,Haris Naseer,Waqar Butt and Rana Noon.In the contest for the net honors in the handicap category 15 to 18, those who appear to come into the reckoning are Abid Farooq and Farid Malik.This is a most appropriate occasion for the double digit handicappers to show their ability to command such events.
