ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior A Rehman Malik said on Monday that foreign elements were involved in the Balochistan unrest and killing incidents in Gilgit-Baltistan.
Talking to reporters outside the Parliament House here, he said, “We have sufficient proof that foreign hands are involved in the unrest of Balochistan and killing incidents in Gilgit-Baltistan.”He said that there were credible reports that terrorists were entering Pakistan from Afghanistan and urged the latter to stop cross-border infiltration.He said that the people who wanted to de-stabilize the country would not success in their nefarious designs.
Rehman Malik said that the elements involved in the heinous crime of terrorist attacks would be brought to justice as they were enemies of humanity, country and Islam.Replying to a question, he said that there was no Shia-Sunni conflict, but a third force was involved in creating unstability in the country.The Interior Minister said that due to the steps taken by the government, the law and order situation had much improved as compared to the previous regime.
