LAHORE: Punjab budget for the financial year 2011-12 stands with total outlay of Rs 220 billion which is higher by Rs 26.50 billion than the current year budget. Well-placed sources told Media Thursday that total volume of development budget for the upcoming fiscal 2011-12 comes to Rs 220 billion. A sum of Rs 188000 million have been earmarked for development schemes and Rs 71635 million for social sector.
Budgetary allocation to the tune of Rs 59000 million have been made for development of infrastructure. On the other side Rs 3000 million have been allocated for Danish School system. Sources told no allocation has been made in connection with access to justice program. In the light of chief minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif directives a sum of Rs 23900 million have been allocated for education sector and Rs 1600 million for sports.
Rs 3400 million have been earmarked for development projects in agriculture sector while the development budget volume for the sectors including forest, wild life and fisheries is set at Rs 1235 million. – Onlinenews
